Editing Video
Editing allows for trimming captured segments, joining seperate segments and/or adding audio.
If you capture exactly the segment of video you wish to convert to a format suitable for a DVD or the web, there is no need to edit the segment -- you simply move from the capture phase straight into the export stage. Editing video in digital form is much easier than editing tapes or prints.

In most cases, you will use the same software application for editing as you used for capturing. Most consumer capture/edit/export applications have a straightforward interface utilizing drag-and-drop tools for manipulating individual clips. Some offer additional features, such as a subtitling function or the ability to manipulate the audio and video tracks separately. Unless you are involved with large-scale video production, any of the software applications mentioned earlier (iMovie, Studio, Producer, or Movie Maker) should meet your editing needs.
