Fractals go to School

Common mistakes about fractals: not everything is a fractal. Having a clear understanding of what is and what isn't fractal is important for anyone trying to find exampkes of fractals in the world. Here we present three of the most common mistakes: non-fractal onjects mistaken for fractals.
Using fractals in the curriculum: not as an additional topic, but as a collection of engaging examples of topics already covered.
Two examples of classroom constructions: students with more artistic interests can be drawn into several topics (identifying and summing geometric series, for example) by making paper constructions.
