Here are three examples (more precisely, two examples and one non-example) of art losely based on the Sierpinski gasket. Click each picture for an enlargement in a new window.

Tuareg leatherwork: the basic shape is made of 6 copies each shrunk by 1/3. In an artistic touch, note the inner level is vertically reversed and positioned in what should be the gaps of the outer level. Mauritanian stonework, roughly similar to the Tuareg pattern, but the whole pattern is closer to the standard gasket. Work from Ghana. Not enough levels to be called fractal.
